Natural gas is a convenient, clean and light-carbon energy resource that plays an important role in China's energy strategy. The Energy Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) forecasts that natural gas will make up 6% of energy consumption by 2010 and 10% by 2020, compared to the current level of 3%. Sino Gas supplies natural gas by transporting it from source to end users. With proprietary technology and efficient management, we are well-positioned to serve customers from various regions. Our main activities include: Design, install, construct, manage and operate gas distribution networks, storage stations and gas appliances and equipment; Store natural gas and engineer the most efficient ways to transport and distribute natural gas; Supply natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers. As indicated on the graph above, we supply three types of natural gas including piped natural gas, compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Depending on the distance of the gas source, we use different methods for delivery. Intermediate pipeline is used if the gas source (wellhead or long distance pipeline) is located within 100 km. CNG trucks are deployed if the source is located within 300 km. There is no distance restriction for LNG delivery. However, we generally use LNG trucks if the source is located beyond 300 km. The chart below further illustrates our gas distribution system. We purchase gas from our suppliers, who are state-owned petroleum companies, at their processing centers, which are close to our operations location. Then, the natural gas we purchase is compressed from piped natural gas into CNG or LNG and placed in canisters. After that, we transport the CNG and LNG by trucks to our processing stations for storage, decompression and gasification. Natural gas will then go though our pipeline system to reach our end users.
